March Recipes

There are 3 recipes that are not included in the March Recipes, they are Roast Chicken, Roast Pork and Fish Bake.  That is because I don’t do anything fancy, for the roast chicken & pork, all I do is place the meat in a roaster/slow cooker, add seasoning – done.  As for the fish bake, basically I just make up my own breading, coat the fish, place in baking dish and cook in the oven.

My own breading:  I’ll use crackers, rice krispies, corn flakes or bread crumbs – crush them into tiny pieces, add Italian Seasonings, garlic and onion, salt and pepper – mix it all together.  Voila – breading.

Stopped Everything for Mass

The other day I was browsing through the channels on the TV to try and find something on the Olympic Torch Relay, however I came across Daily Mass so I turned it on.  The Mass was half way through, they were just singing the Alleluia.

The two older kids were playing in a different part of the room.  As soon as they heard the Alleluia being sung, they stopped and came over to the TV.  My son sat down on the couch and watched the rest of the Mass with me and my little girl would come and watch, then wander and play for a bit and then come back and watch.

There was no prompting from me what so ever to come and watch the Mass but I guess God was doing the prompting.  I was pretty amazed that they were interested in watching Mass on TV.  I guess that means that I have to try to get them to Daily Mass more often and when we don’t make it at least we can watch it on TV!

Too Much Running Around!

During the month of December I always expect to be running around lots preparing for Christmas, however our extensive running around has dwindled into January.

Normally the most that the kids & I are away from home (running around – in town) is 3 days a week, including Mass on Sundays.  However since the beginning of December we have only been home ab0ut 2 days out of the seven!  Yikes!  December was packed full of Christmas parties and Christmas preparations and January has been packed full of specialist, dentist and speech therapy appointments!

I’m exhausted & the kids are exhausted!  Is this ever going to end?!!
